The Presidential changeover saw the transferring of the chain of office fromTrevor Ainsworth to John Boreham. In the 1950s it cost around £1,063 equivalent to £34,000 today.John Turnerspoke on love of aircraft and The Farnborough Air Show. His interest started as a boy seeing bombers returning from war missions through to the early super-sonic jets.Tony Crowther captivated members with two humorous poemsentitled Three Half Pennies a Footand How to Give a Cat a Pill.
